Insidious Deception v2 Judy Collins edit

[Baut images: Vision of the Oligarch]

Insidious deception
Lies behind the tainted smiles,
And winks and nods
Of fetid humans,
Who haven't a clue
As to what being human means.

Takers, rapers, pillagers all,
Who've taken their ill gotten goods
To faraway lands, yet,
Pretend to support democracy,
Whilst taking from the poor
And giving to the rich.

Bastards, Sons of Satan,
Luciferian proteges,
Enemies of the people,
Who pirouette and curtsy
To an ignoble nobility,
With questionable credentials.

What a bunch of crap slingers!
Where's Louis XV?
Still living in DC I presume?
Time for a Cromwell
To kick all the oligarchs
Out on their ass!

Insidious deception
Lies behind the tainted smiles,
And winks and nods,
Of fetid humans,
Who haven't a clue
As to what being human means.

2012 Roger Allen Baut

Note: This is in poetic triplet form. As you view,
please take all three parts into consideration.

Why is it that humankind never, ever learns?

Great to get your thoughts and perspectives on my latest triplet, and happy you found this, "...a fantastic presentation..." and yes, there was a lot of frustration running through it. Glad to know I've woken a few people up. It does help a bit! Just hope that before to long our species will evolve beyond it's barbarism! Thank you!

  6. Yes, powerful and I share your observations. I feel my blood beginning to simmer...don't get me started...oh, too late, I'm already deep in it. I know it's really no good for me to stay in a state of anger...but these ugly politics really do get me riled up. I try to channel that energy by taking positive actions...but still..

    1. Hi Bodhirose! Thank you for visiting and seeing my triplet "Insidious Deception, and am pleased to learn, "...I share your observations." I also resonate to what you say, "...these ugly politics really do get me riled up." It seems like our society is regressing rather than 'progressing,' like we have slid into a Dark Age of negativity that once encompassed Europe. I hope that others 'wake-up' soon, and start to stop all of the damage being done to the planet and our own species. Anywho, thanks again, and perhaps a new age of peace and wisdom will rise like the phoenix...we can only hope!

      Fiat Lux,
      Roger ☺

  8. You're suffering election campaign ignobilities I fear... it is horrendous to hear the pure self-seeking spouting from those squeaky-clean mouths... Your poem made me think of elections, lies and how those in power often so little deserve it.

I like the structure and condensed ire, especially effective in the last two stanzas for me.

Time for humankind to fracking 'evolve' out of it's barbaric and greedy state!
