[Baut Images: Symbiosis] Many ancient cultures and societies have viewed the butterfly as a symbol of transformation and change, because of its impressive process of metamorphosis. ❀ Butterfly Daze ❀ Resplendent in all of it's beauty The butterfly does not strut about Seeking it's own praise or glory. It does not sit for hours waiting to be liked, Or seek out others in the meadow To tell it how wonderful and grand it is. The butterfly simply 'is.' And as with all things in nature; A part of the passing loveliness of this world. The humble butterfly brings Faithfulness to the flowers, And gives, as it is given to in return. ❀ Symbiosis ❀ A Gathering A gathering of butterflies, Traveling from flower to flower, Sharing with each other, hour after hour. A gathering of butterflies, Traversing the skies and fields, Without any need for shields. A gathering of butterflies, In synchronous motion Traveling without any commotion. ❀ "Love is like a butterfly: It goes where it pleases, and it pleases wherever it goes." Thank you so much for sharing this info with me about the butterfly, for I had no idea that this is what the butterfly symbolized. I find what you've shared very exciting!
ReplyDeleteThere was a post I did earlier today that has to do with changes relating to myself.
Thanks so much for stopping by Lon, and am so pleased you liked this offering! Yes, the butterfly is a most interesting creation with a lot of symbolism.
DeleteI'll have to check you post! It sounds quite interesting Lon!
Roger ☺
I like this a lot, Roger, especially the last verse:
ReplyDeleteA gathering of butterflies,
In synchronous motion
Without any commotion.
Very nicely done!
Thanks do much for stopping by Steve! I really appreciate it. Wouldn't it be wonderful if it read,
Delete"A gathering of people,
In synchronous motion
Without any commotion."
Perhaps one day!
Glad you liked it!
Roger ☺
Amazing job here Roger. Love the poetry, so many cool notions in here. The butterfly simply "is"/in synchronous motion without any commotion- some great lines here. And I love Tori, saw here a dozen or so times going back many years now, and her work, although not as popular today, is still strong in my opinion, and it fit wonderfully here, adding just another little touch to this post. Fantastic job. Thanks
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you Fred! Always happy to get your thoughts on my compositions. Nice to have the Tori Amos connection too. She is definately brilliant, and one of the last 'great' performers.
DeleteThanks again,
Roger ☺

A beautiful response to the butterfly challenge...I love how you said the butterfly just "is" Love how you tied your poetry together with quotes and Tori Amos's beautiful song.

Bravo! Encore! Love it Roger...but we always do! And yes...that simplicity...vital to our evolution!
ReplyDeleteThanks so very much Natasha, so pleased that you stopped by and left your thoughts! Always appeciated! Yes, and 'simplicity' is "vital to our evolution!"

Gorgeous! The butterfly leaves it all up to the nature of its being, and in doing so completes all required of it. I look forward to reading more of you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Tracie and leaving your comment! So glad you like my composition and offerring; sincerely appreciated. I not a 'prolific' writer, but the compositions come as they will.
DeleteThanks again,
Roger ☺
love the message, roger. how far apart we are from nature. and I don't think, like so many, we're above the rest. we'd stand to learn a lot from God's creatures. butterflies don't crave "like" buttons. ants don't seeks pats on their lil ant backs for work long and well done. it goes on and on. but. great job and thanks for reminding me that nature still does rule :)
ReplyDeleteMonty
Thanks Monty! I really appreciate you stopping by and sharing your thoughts! Especially, "for reminding me that nature still does rule." Yes, it does, and it's already starting to show humankind that it doesn't like being pillaged!
DeleteThanks again!
